Don't even think about moving

A typical vehicle web site will have a configurator that will show you all the available options and colors. On interior shots the goal is to create images that show the color and fabric changes without the seats jumping around in position while clicking from trim to trim. Shooting the interiors using traditional photography requires the seats for each trim to shot then removed and replaced with the new seats. As you might imagine with each trim change the new seats are not going to sit exactly where the old ones sat from the perspective the camera even if you take the utmost care in replicating the position. Mostly because no two seats have identical dimensions and exact re-positioning is not possible when bolting down a new seat. So how do you solve the problem if you're using traditional photography?

I've developed a way to virtually eliminate movement of the seats while clicking between trims. In this series of interior trims for the Subaru WRX you'll see that while the seats are changing material, the seat stays in a fixed position.
